Yesterday, our second day home from the hospital, I sent my husband and father to the drugstore to pick up a product called Soothies - gel pads for nursing mothers that relieve sore nipples.
The fun has begun.

Lanolin. (be careful, it stains)

Glad to see you’re using a natural, reusable product. Does it work? Let me know… I might get it as a baby shower gift for two of my coworkers.

Lanolin…just to emphasize.

This is probably TMI for most readers, but your own milk actually works the best…

Nipples are natural and reusable. Justin should support this very much as Nicole pointed out. How or why you would give them as gifts, I’m not sure of, but whatever. (See, this is a bad attempt at using humor after TMI. It’s called the “Guy Squirm.”)

Lanolin works wonders.
Your own milk will work too.
Nursing as often as possible (even though you may cringe at first) will also make a world of difference.
Congratulations!
She is beautiful… and already looks amazingly smart.
